Brand Recognition

A main feature of this program is that participants are identified by the P³ logo as service providers committed to a set of operating best practices designed to deliver the highest level of customer service. The name Platinum Performance Program and its logo are becoming a standard by which customer service is measured.

Freight Matching Boards

The major freight matching systems have agreed to identify freight and truck postings from P³ Program participants in their systems. As a P³ company, your loads and trucks are highlighted in these systems by the P³ symbol and your loads are listed first! For parties seeking truck capacity to move their goods, companies displaying this logo provide an assurance of a commitment to no hassles and no surprises transportation.

Mediation & Arbitration Available

A key component of the Platinum Performance Program is a commitment by participating companies to quickly and reasonably solve disputes that may arise in the normal course of business. This remedy is designed to keep the customer from being “caught in the middle.” Mediation and arbitration are not mandatory, but the experienced roster of mediators and arbitrators are an invaluable asset to P³ members seeking an accessible, knowledgeable and quick venue for resolving disputes.

Model Contracts

Industry model contracts have been credit to provide the industry with a tool to assure a clear delineation of the rights and responsibilities of each party in a transaction. The model contracts allow the user to pick and choose among the contract provisions that best meet their needs and those of its transportation provider(s) and customer(s).

Dynamic in Design

P³ was designed to be an evolving service responding to the changing needs of its participants and the realities of the transportation marketplace. It is governed by a Board comprised of participating intermediaries and motor carriers who are committed to promptly and continually modifying the program to achieve the highest levels of customer service.

Exclusivity

The Platinum Performance Program may not be for everyone. The stringent best practices provisions, coupled with a strong commitment to cost effective and prompt resolution of disputes, requires prospective participants to ensure that their business practices meet the voluntary standards.

The Cost

The cost of the P³ Program is $150.00 per year for one license and $60.00 for each additional license being registered; a small investment to reap the rewards of reduced risk and increased company recognition. Benefits for All

The objective of the Platinum Performance Program is to create an environment where relationships are enhanced by mutual trust. The increased level of trust diminishes the level of risk for all parties and puts participating companies “a cut above” the competition and adds to the customer’s piece of mind.

Better, Not Different

For most participants, joining the P³ Program will not change their current way of doing business. Companies will continue to use freight matching services, but now the prominent use of the P³ symbol in electronic and print advertising and on company letterhead and related media will identify your firm as “a cut above” the rest. TIA and its endorsing organizations will heavily promote this program among members, the media, and customers. The goal is to make intermediary and motor carrier participants in the P³ program the first choice for discriminating shippers and receivers.

Freight Bill Audit/Payment

The P³ Program has been expanded to cover freight audit and payment companies. By agreeing to be bound by the P³ Agreement for Freight Audit & Payment Companies, these companies agree to private sector protection for their shipper and carrier customers.

Eligibility

Brokers/Forwarders:

Applicants:

• Must be a member of TIA for at least one year prior to applying. This way, P³ and the TIA Code of Ethics govern broker and forwarder participants.
• Must agree to follow the P³ Agreement for Property Brokers and Freight Forwarders.
• Must have and maintain a credit rating of at least a 90 with TransCredit.
• Cost of membership is $150 per year.

Motor Carriers:

• Must be in business for at least one year prior to applying.
• Must be a member of TIA or affiliated with an endorsing organization.
• Must agree to follow the P³ Agreement for Motor Carriers.
• Must not have an unsatisfactory safety rating.
• Cost of membership is $150 per year.

Freight Bill/Audit Payment Company:

• Must agree to follow the P³ Agreement for Freight Audit & Payment Companies.
• Cost of membership is $150 per year.
